Septic System Installation Warranty
2-Year Limited Warranty
Ryerson Brothers Excavating warrants that the septic system installed at the above property address will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for a period of two (2) years from the date of installation.
Warranty Coverage
This warranty covers:
1. The integrity of the septic tank, drain field, and connecting components.
2. Proper functioning of the system in compliance with local health and safety regulations.
3. Repairs or replacements required due to installation errors or defective materials provided by Ryerson Brothers Excavating.
Exclusions from Warranty Coverage
This warranty does not cover:
1. Improper Use
○ Damage caused by introducing non-biodegradable, hazardous, or inappropriate materials into the system (e.g., grease, oils, chemicals, wipes, or sanitary products).
○ Overloading the system beyond its designed capacity.
2. Lack of Maintenance
○ Issues arising from failure to perform routine maintenance, such as pumping the tank or cleaning filters as recommended.
3. Unauthorized Modifications or Repairs
○ Any alterations, modifications, or repairs performed by anyone other than Ryerson Brothers Excavating or an approved service provider.
4. Acts of Nature or External Forces
○ Damage caused by natural disasters, such as floods, earthquakes, landslides, or severe storms.
○ Damage due to tree roots, soil shifts, or other external environmental factors.
5. Physical Damage
○ Damage caused by heavy vehicles or equipment driving over the system.
○ Damage resulting from construction, landscaping, or excavation near the system.
6. Electrical or Mechanical Failures
○ Failures of pumps, alarms, or other mechanical or electrical components not supplied or installed by Ryerson Brothers Excavating.
7. Regulatory or Permit Issues
○ Any penalties, fines, or system modifications required due to changes in local regulations after the installation.
8. Normal Wear and Tear
○ Normal aging or wear of system components that are not the result of defective materials or workmanship.
9. Third-Party Damage
○ Damage caused by third parties, such as contractors, utility companies, or neighbors.
10. Water Table or Drainage Issues
● System malfunctions caused by high water tables, poor drainage, or other site-specific conditions outside Ryerson
Brothers Excavating’s control.
11. Non-Residential Use
● Damage or malfunction resulting from use beyond the intended residential purpose, such as commercial or industrial applications.
12. Pre-Existing Conditions and Chain-Reaction Issues
● The warranty does not cover damage, malfunctions, or failures in existing plumbing, pipes, or infrastructure affected as a result of the new septic system installation.
● This includes issues caused by shifting, settling, or increased pressure on older or deteriorated plumbing systems due to the operation of the new septic system.
● Repairs or replacements for existing components not installed or supplied by Ryerson Brothers Excavating are the responsibility of the property owner.
Warranty Service
In the event of a defect or malfunction covered by this warranty, Ryerson Brothers Excavating will provide repair or replacement services at no cost to the customer. To request service, contact us at 888-231-4020.
Customer Responsibilities
To maintain warranty coverage, the customer must:
1. Use the system in accordance with the provided operating and maintenance instructions.
2. Schedule and perform routine maintenance as recommended by Ryerson Brothers Excavating.
3. Notify Ryerson Brothers Excavating of any issues as soon as they arise.
Limitations of Liability
This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective components or systems. Ryerson Brothers Excavating shall not be held liable for any incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use or failure of the septic system.
Transferability
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original property owner listed above.
Governing Law
This warranty is governed by the laws of Michigan.

5-Year Limited Warranty
Ryerson Brothers Excavating warrants that the septic system installed at the above property address will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for a period of Seven (7) years from the date of installation.
